Yes. Shatabdi was slowed down in the return journey to show improved punctuality at MAS to hide the mismanagement of the controllers. Mission Raftaar they say!! I bet the Shatabdi in the olden days with WAM4/WAP1 did better. After 20 years, with the same 110 MPS, FEDL, but with modern LHB coaches and WAP7, there is no improvement but only degradation of services.

02657 also had a good run yesterday. 12 mins BT at JTJ, 1 min BT at BWT, 4 mins BT at BNC and 10 mins BT at SBC. 5hrs 39 mins for MAS SBC run with 63.36kmph avg speed. On a lighter note, Mail is not the train for sleep lovers. ;)

Yeah 100 ℅😊😊😊😊BtW,for same distance 12658 appears to be faster than 12657 ,may be something to do run between KPN to KJm while going from Mas( gradients ) i mean pre Covid time .

Similarly 12622 takes less time compared to up 12621Tamilnadu express in NDLS - Mas route (Around 30 minutes difference in Travel time )

The line towards KPN maybe slightly longer due to curvature. Not much. The line towards JTJ is easy to cover as the PSR is only for a shorter stretch though it joins the other line at Patchur much later.
