PF 16 was closed due to the construction of Metro Station below the Howrah station complex.
Platform 16 was not for passenger trains, it ws used for Railway use. Platform 16 is temporarily closed/ broken due to East-West Metro construction underground. Will be rebuilt after metro construction completed. There the entry to EW Metro Howrah station Entry will also be constructed. Total revamp and beautification will be done at the area between Howrah New and Old Complex after EW Metro construction gets completed.
