Why not give some numbers and figures to explain why you think this is a bad idea instead of just calling out others to be illogical? I've made my case very clearly. There is a severe lack of hospital beds for people, and India barely has 1 bed for every 1000 patients. And I don't think patients should be kept in corridors and tents waiting for hospital attention. So, I felt that the idea to convert trains into hospitals is a good option.
"what you will do once train operation starts again after 20to 25 days? From where u will get rakes to run passengers trains then? " - What about now? What about the hundreds of patients who need hospital...
more... attention? So, they don't deserve medical facilities now because a train has to be cancelled for a few days after a month or two? At the worst the train will be cancelled for a week or two until it is converted back into a regular coach? Are providing medical facilities to people in a pandemic not worth cancelling a train for a few days?
"You will spend money , time and manpower to convery LHB coaches to Hospitals and after 20 to 25 days when situation will improve and train operation will start then how will passengers travel then?" - When hundreds of people are being exposed to the disease and there is no cure nor a vaccine available, why are you worried about somebody's travel plans after a month? What about the hundreds of people requiring medical facilities now?
And we are not spending money and manpower on some celebrity function or a politician's campaign. We are spending that money and man power so that people need not die.
Brother, not creating more medical facilities now is the most foolish thing to do. God forbid, if the outbreak becomes worse (even USA with all its advanced facilities is almost at breaking point now) then can you create medical facilities on a short notice?
And what's the problem with having a few hospital trains available? People can't use them afterwards?
And I am not saying that every train has to be converted. I said 10-15 rakes can be converted. That would mean, hardly 3-4 trains. So, we can't even cancel 3-4 trains so that people get more access to medical facilities?
