Electrification work in Chikkabanavar - Tumkur - Hubballi section may begin anytime. According to sources by October end BAW - TK stretch will be electrified. Hope after electrification mps will be increased to 110 kmph at present trains do only 95 kmph after Tumkur only trains hit 100-105 kmph.

No sir. There is lots of political pressure to complete within 2 years and in tenders deadline given is 28-36 months. It will be divided into 2 or 3 independent sections for faster completion

I highly doubt how much ever political pressure you put look at doubling they started it almost 10 years ago and still only 40-50% completed.Doubling needs to be completed because it will increase capacity of the existing lines even speed and punctuality of trains can be increased and even new trains can be run and no point of hurrying the electrification process. There should be sufficient amount of electric locomotive as well to cater to the demand and for KJM ELS DLW, DMW, CLW have still not started allocating electric locomotives.

doubling take time because land acquisition and other construction etc.Electification complete very faster than doubling. As said by Vageesh it will divide into parts as like Gulbarga-Bhigwan.And also after conversion of kjm DLS to ELS will get loco allocation.

Even if KJM wont get electric locos RPM can alone handle supplying locos for entire SWR but dont worry in this year DLW and CLW will allot WAP-7s to KJM

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
