I dont know why people tend to underestimate the KLK/CDG Shatabdis
Todays is a weekday in non peak season and following is the availability of the three Shatabdis

To determine the preference of mode of transport we need a boarder study between CDG and NDLS total seats that are available in morning and evening Shatabdi and the third Shatabdi. The number of seats available in non AC segment intercity trains GS sitting ideally in any route the non ac sgment travellers will be 5 times or more then AC. Further What is the fare of Shatabdi un current booking and fare of Volvo buses number of buses running in 5 to 8 time slots both directions in morning and evening rest of the time from 8 to evening 5 only 50% will be to Delhi the remaining will be to intermediate locations. The seats should be calculated for both PRTC and private. Generally buses are preferred to first mile connectivity in metro cities which are 5 to 20 km away from the city railway stations. should be one more set of intercity trains completing CDG in 4hrs and ASR in 7.5hrs in both the directions in morning and evening considering the population amd travelling pattern of travellers for business and socio and economic conditions of region. There should one more intercity from Kanpur before Gomti completing in 6 hrs and one from Jhansi starting at 530 returning at 2230 in 2 routes. There is lot of capacity in high end segment in all the four sectors then lower and middle segment.
