PUSH PULL TRAIN With EMD Diesel Locomotives in Action!!
Video Link: click here
=============================================
A Unique concept of push pull train is recently been tried by Indian Railways. First with Push Pull Mumbai Rajdhani Express then T18 Vande Bharat Express and recently in SWR using EMD locomotives at both end of train.

is to save loco reversal and can improve the overall acceleration of train having multiple halts similar to DEMU & MEMU.
PS: Here the trailing Loco is ideal.

Enjoy the reverse clip at beginning at Level Crossing and then the original clip. I could capture this push pull action 3 times on same day which I may publish later. Stay Tuned.
Locomotive: 20055 Original Cab KJM WDP4 Leading & 20060 Modified Cab KJM WDP4 Trailing Behind.

Nice capture.
I believe this is just to avoid loco reversal at Tumkur and Bangalore, as the train has barely 30 minutes turnaround time at both places.
Push-Pull needs modification in the rakes and needs control cables to be run all along the length of the rake, with IV connectors provided for the locos. These locos don't seem to have any such arrangements, and as far as I am aware, no self-generating ICF coaches have been modified this way.

In one of the videos on Youtube of same train, It is shown that Crew present in Rear loco as well, & concept used here is just like Bankers in SWR Ghat section, with Rear loco manually controlled by crew using Communication via Walkie-talkie.

Could you provide a link to that video? In most of the videos I've seen, the rear loco was On, but was only idling, probably being prepared to take over for the return trip.
Push-Pull with walkie-talkies on a route like this is quite dangerous and very difficult for the loco-pilots to handle. On ghats, the bankers provide most of the pushing effort, and the route is a continuous upward gradient, so the loco pilots need not worry about too many variables.
But on a route like this, with MPS runs and both

up and down gradients, it will be extremely difficult for LPs to coordinate between the two locos. For example, on an up-gradient, the rear loco has to put in more effort, but the effort has to be gradually decreased as the lead loco crosses the peak and starts going down.
This coordination is complicated enough that RDSO took a lot of time to optimize the software in the DPWCS (wireless-controlled multiple unit locos) to manage the efforts from both locomotives on uneven terrain. It'll be really surprising to see manual operation of push-pull mode locos on a non-ghat route.

Thanks! I've seen this one as well. There is a noticeable difference in the sound between both the locomotives. The leading loco has the classic airplane-like sound made by EMD locos when they are running. The rear loco just sounds like it is idling.
A local member mentioned that the second loco was provided due to the tight turn-around time at both Tumkur and Bangalore for this train. It is not a push-pull operation. As the runs are very short (about 2 hours each), the crew would stay in the locomotive itself (no crew changes). The crew of the rear loco would keep the locomotive idling (or power it up accordingly) and take the lead once the train reaches the end

of its run.
