Whoa!! On its day, this Super-Crawler might also defeat Bhopal Shatabdi!! Extremely aggressive 13134 Varanasi (BSB)- Sealdah (SDAH) UPPER INDIA Super Crawler Express headed by somewhat rare-link 16324R WDM- 3A of JMP (Jamalpur) shed and a dead 17925 WDM-2 of BWN (Burdwan) shed (ACD fitted)...
more... storms through the Down Main Line at Baruipara at no less than 110 km/hr.. Just look at the dust storm created!! Seems I have to insure my eyes..
The train takes more than 26 hours to cover less than 900 kms with 76 halts and average speed of 33 km/hr!!
The train uses an extremely zig-zag route, i.e. Varanasi- Mughal Sarai- Dildarnagar- Ara- Danapur- Patna- Mokama- Kiul- Jamalpur- Bhagalpur- Sahibganj- Barharwa- Rampurhat- Bolpur Shantiniketan- Burdwan- Sealdah route..
The train was one of the first trains to travel between Calcutta and Delhi. But after Asansol- Patna- Mughal Sarai MAIN Line and Asanol- Dhanbad- Mughal Sarai GRAND CHORD Lines were introduced, and more and more trains were introduced on those routes, this train lost its sheen, and was made to run till Mughal Sarai. At that time, the train had two sleeper coaches.. Later it again got extended till Varanasi, but lost one sleeper coach.. Now the train is a lilliput 9 coacher, and have just a solitary reserved coach..
