Double line from Dhulianganga station to New Farakka station (Total 15km) has been commissioned on 13.04.22. Speed trial at 122KMPH with nil peak in OMS and got final authorization of 90KMPH speed for new line.
In this project, rail level platform was converted to High level PFs at three stations , provided 3 m wide foot over bridges (FOBs) and one Low Height Subway at Farakka station , 29 Nos Minor bridges, one Major bridge & 3 Nos Yard remodelling .

more... NI of 3 stations parallel to each other was very challenging work. New Farakka is bottle neck of all trains to North east India bcoz there is Farakka Barrage over river Ganga in front of station and there is 3 dimensional traffic in yard due to Y-Leg geometry of yard. Eastern Railway HQ took step forward to do this NI within shortest possible time i.e. 3 day NI in which 19 nos. points & crossing were dismantled and inserted 19 Nos i.e. total 38 Nos.
Commissioner Railway safety (CRS) & PCE/ER appreciated work of construction department such as subway , RUB , station redevelopment , bridges , formation , turfing and Pway work and major bridges etc.
