The new section GR Bidar still dont have any main trains which makes Rail board to know that their is line branching out from GR and make it junction. And also now a days railway not paying attention on such things instead changing complete station names from old ones.. Gadag Hospet Hubli Guntakal all where Junction from long back in so they got it but new junctions not getting such names from rail board now a days..which is imp thing..

Great news. At last a 4 years wait ends today.From Sept 1st new name may appear in UTS,CPRS tickets as told by SM,GR over phone

IR has not been taking the 'Junction' thing seriously. Many stations that have become junctions due to new lines are not get the change in the stations boards immediately.
And IR absolutely hates changing station names! Most of staff continue using the old names only. It is a big pain for them to change the station name when all the staff involved are used to one name for decades, and on top of that the number of changes they have to make in their backend software to add the new station. Its always due to political pressure that they change the names.

Yup often changes in station boards makes nonsense works. No use in changing names instead it causes extra expenses for changing them on SB's and in railway records..
