Its a Question of How improve the Service of Passenger and Bring Down the Loss , so that Financial Subcidy can be reduce ??
My Suggesation- 1) Service to The passenger to be improved at level keeping in mind the increse in population day by day. - A special Task Force (Non Political) should be created ( Senior Citizen Preffered age between 60-65 ) in all stations & send their report by mail to Chairman to Railway Board. Inpection Regarding Cleaness, Open of all Ticket Counter During Rush Hours, Surprise checking of Passenger Tickets, Running of Train.I think for Making India, Senior Citizen who does Philan thropy can be utilised.

more... Cost Control of Inventry 3) Purchased of Quality Spares ( Most of the Railway Suppliers do not maintained Quality as per stipulated stardard of IRDS. I feel all Enlisted Venders should Give a minium INR Demand Draft( Say 10 Lakhs) in favour of Railway Board during Renewal of their Registration (Should be once in two years) . If Quality are down graded , it will be deducted from that deposited amount. Now Question who will give Inspection Certificate ?? No inspection .Vendor Himself has to get it done at their cost from Raw Materials to finish Goods as per standard of IRDS. Then see the Result of Quality.
Those accumated Money can be utilised in Bond (since Indian Economy are improving day by day as per share Market Indication) & Railway will earn Extra Money from that Bond .
There are Good Brains avialable In India & more Suggesation are expected.
