Let it start first...why to do postmortem before the actual murder..(don't know if that makes sense,nevertheless)...I am sure people of Tripura and surrounding areas would consider this as a boon for them, as they can atleast move out of Tripura at a much cheaper and yet by a comfortable mode...without relying on the aviation sector...thanks
I am sure in due course of time you will se SF on this route as well...so lets welcome this new train without much of cribbing and wait to see what future has in store for us...

TT is correct. When the train runs through the Gangetic plains, a section of India very conducive to higher speeds of trains the train maintains a good average speed; its avg speed till NJP is 60 Kmph, which is quite good. beyond that once you enter deep into NFR extremely heavy rains make high speed operations tough, leading to reduced speed.
Also, this is the beginning. with time as the line bears more monsoon and if the confidence of IR increases they may increase sectional speeds. but for now the designed TT is good.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
