Informed by DRM-Adra that the work for installing escalator and lift has started at BKSC. But I do not get any information about this from my father who see the station premises everyday on his way to duty. The railway officials should not try to fool people by stating false facts. The reality is Adra division has no interest in looking up the matters pertaining to BKSC that lies outside West Bengal and is being used to nourish the division. There is no one to protest so they have a comfortable time since the creation of Adra division. Feeding on the revenue generated by BKSC , and giving nothing in return. Step-motherly treatment is also better than this case of discrimination. The are just not interested in taking initiatives to improve the condition of BKSC by advocating for it. Other divisions and zones try their best to get their important stations...

all the facilities required by continuously working. Here, the attitude of whole divison and zone is pathetic.
The solution of merging BKSC into RNC division is feasible but , a division who is living on the earnings of BKSC will never let its golden egg laying hen to go to someone else's house. Else, it will die of hunger. The only thing BKSCcan do is to cry on its awful situation that is not going to end. It would have prospered under any other division and become one the finest stations just like the city.

Purulia is better concerned only for this time to increase freight movement. It's receiving above 400 Freight trains a day. After work completes it will be treated as a slave and again be called as the most backward region of West Bengal. This is a trick or you can say gameplay of WB.

This is very obvious and known to everyone that the Babus sitting in Adra pay so much attention to ADRA, PRR and BQA. And, to BKSC , they need periodic checks if it is alive because this is the place from where they get the major chunk of revenue. I dare they agree to part away BKSC from Adra division, they will have sleepless nights if this ever happens. Nobody would like to die of hunger.

ADRA won't let BKSC to be scrapped out now as it's the most industrialized zone of it's area. Other important regions like Adra, Santaldih, Raghunathpur(Power plant) and top of their list, Purulia is dormant. Their future is specifically in the hand of complex WB politics. My father used to say that Jalpaiguri and Purulia are the atom bombs of Bengal which if ruled properly can generate huge resources. Every project planned in these areas were shifted to Jharkhand of which TATA and BSL are also a part shifting their plans from Singur and Manbhum respectively.
Only thing I can say is that the people of all these areas have forgotten to protest. No industries in Bengal and treating Bokaro just for revenue

is not a good concept of WB. This is the point where I feel Jharkhand is better than Bengal.

The state government's politics is a different matter and the politics of SER is a different one. If you carefully observe the growth and development of stations then PRR beats BKSC hands down because of so much attention paid to it. The increase in number of trains, to new platform, to station beautification, many things are done. BKSC has seen a very slow change during all this time. The current work of escalator and Lift also will not be completed on time and is bound to be delayed.
