Hello Members,
Good Afternoon.
As we are going to SBHR via SBC Karwar Express. Need to visit both Dharmasthala and Kukke. Members can you please suggest any plans. e.g., whether any Temple accommodation available in Kukke (Incl Per day rent). First we need to take Kukke or Dharmasthala.. Again night we are going to take Karwar SBC express in Kukke. Any experience people please suggest any plans to make our trip more memorable....

SBHR itself is 13 km from kukke...but plenty of jeeps from station to kukke town..
Visit kukke first.. kukke has plenty of private lodges...temple guest houses are less n tarriffs not known.. (drs has only temple cottages)
As far as I remember, kukke to dharmasthala (drs) is around 70km via gundya.. (based on condition of roads n if they re open).. jeeps take alternative road which is around 50 km or so, but roads are not too good..
Go
...
to kukke n enquire wd locals or@ bus stand, they'll help u plan better..
If not weekend or holidays, covering both places in a day is easily possible. .
Once dusk settles in, to come back from drs to sbhr/kukke, prefer govt buses over jeeps... the roads are known for accidents..

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
