QUERRY: BRINDAVAN SF EXPRESS 12639/12640 The Southern Railway Officials as per media to NAME the existing Double Decker 22625/26 (without name) may be proposed as “Brindavan Double-Decker SF Express 22625/22626” during month of April/July’2015 onwards will be highly appreciated by its permanent Brindavan Passengers & Traders due to very convenient olden-timings of Brindavan. Already the esteemed SR ran the Brindavan Express with Double-Decker in mid80s and due to technical-reasons stopped. For the present Double Decker to perform is already taken Brindavan Express original Slot, and 3 CC AC removed, reduced Reserved-Coaches and PC. Therefore to Compensate running behind DD by 45-60 mins delay plus Late running.
-So it will be more honor to name DD
...
as “Brindavan DD SF Express” as proposed by then GM Shri. Rakesh Mishra during Press-Meet on 1-10-2014 the Brindavan Express completed 50 yrs Golden Jubilee meeting with Passengers. The Brindavan Express name referring to BRINDAVAN GARDEN in our Mysuru a Touristic-Centre visited by our Indians and Foreigners throughout the year & specially our Dassara Festival. Now Bengalure-Mysuru double-line work will be completed.
-So if SR & SWR kindly EXTEND this Brindavan Exp. From Bengaluru to Mysuru then passengers have direct train from Chennai-Bengaluru-Mysure & Return Chennai same day. The Lalbagh Express 12607/08 referring Lalbagh-Garden in Bengluru, also Kaveri Express Chennai-SBC-Mysuru. The budget proposed new High Speed Train-lines between Chennai-SBC-Mysuru.
-Hope the Southern Railway Shri. Ashok K. Agarwal, new General Manager & Officials along with SWR GM will do something to name Double Decker as “Brindavan Double Decker SF Express 22625/22626” if possible. The present running outdated-coaches of Brindavan Express Long-distance train Name may kindly change to “Saddarna Express 12639/12640” (Ordinary Express) as preferred & comments by bangarpet & kuppam & vanniyambadi passengers want stops every 15 minutes is impossible with Chennai-Bangalore passengers simply adding all old 23-24 coaches is simply Heavy even WAP7 and Speed reduced 58kmph unnecessarily, instead 20-21 coaches like Lalbagh Express is welcome. The SBC-KJM passengers bit crowd and even KJM we get seats so upto Bangarpet & Kuppam, then total if combine 3-4 coach running empty upto Chennai passengers sit here & their Sir please note. Please do the needful. Thanx.

Rlys should stop playing around with the name "Brindavan". It lost all its glory. Now, they want to fool us again with "Brindavan DD". Dismantle this DD and attach 1 or 2 coaches in all daily ICE SF running in south -- Lalbagh, Pallavan, Vaigai, Pinakini, Kovai, etc. DD will disappear from scene.
Shift the base to MYS. I feel it can run upto MYS with following TT. MYS DEP 0630 SBC ARR/ DEP 0840/ 0850 MAS ARR 1415. Return MAS DEP 1445 SBC ARR/ DEP 2010/ 2020 MYS ARR 2230.

I am not an expert in rly coach designs. Is it so difficult to change the coupling to suit with normal coaches? I believe "When there is a will, there is a way".
Anyway, these DD are proven white-elephants. To get some proper usage, I have suggested attaching 1-2 coaches in all trains.

I think most of the LHB coaches are CBC and not with conventional screw couplers

Can they not be modified?
If nothing is possible, still I would suggest dismantling DD rakes and attaching to daytime ICE and Shatabdi trains with LHB rakes. These DD AC can be called as "Garib CC or GCC" in Shatabdi with reduced fares. Then some improvements can be expected.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
