SWR rarely uses MYS - HAS - ASK stretch for long distance trains, may be because of patronage. Sanctioning of new split trains has been stopped in IR from 2011/12

If split train is run, Hassan gets some connectivity to new locations. Nothing wrong in running split trains. There are many split trains even now. Kaveri has slip coaches from SBC-MAS, Goa express slip from UBL, KCG-VSG/YPR, VSG/KOP-SBC Chennamma and our grand old SBC-UBL/HPT passenger and many.
Instead, if split trains from MYS and SBC are run, it will definitely benefit MYS passengers. Why to take passengers all around Karnataka when their destination is somewhere else? They are not tourists who want to roam around.

You are absolutely right. But due to safety reasons (Shunting slip coaches having passengers aboard) IR has stopped introducing Slip Coach arrangements. In fact, they are trying to remove the existing ones as well. Now Kavery Exp doesn't have slip coach, From MAS to MYS it is run as a single train of 23 coaches. Hampi Exp is split from Nanded Exp and are running as different trains.

Unable to understand the logic. Such arrangements are very much required, wherever more than 80% distance is common between routes and practically not feasible to run 2 exclusive trains.
Safety of new trains and its passengers is a criterion, what about safety in existing split arrangements?

IR is trying to remove existing arrangement as well. As I said above, NED and Hampi Exp are 2 different trains now..
When 70-80% of the route is same, It's better to run a connecting train from one of the points till the common point.
But in TN, they have different trains from all over TN to Chennai even though 90% of the route is same.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
