PASCHIMRAILWAY^~ 6475 blog postsIf traveling in SL please be ready to face GEN compartment crowd...better prefer AC classes for comfortable travel if traveling with family...SL coaches are as good as GEN Compartments....
telling this from my own experience...traveled in SL coach last saturday... i.e 10th May 2014
Ok. But what happened. Please elaborate so that all can understand what happened...
The SL coaches were overcrowded...doors were locked at DR...we were not allowed to board the train..coach was overflowing with GEN passengers more then 200 pax in the coach...our reserved seats were occupied by GEN passengers had to fight with them to get them off..SL coaches not fit for if traveling with family...prefer AC classes for comfortable journey...

GirishfromIndor^~ 5472 blog postsBed Rolls i.e. pillows, bedsheets are available for sleeper passengers too @ Rs 20 per pair (on a rental basis). The train staff person will come at-least 5-7 times before/post CSTM departure up to TNA/PNVL to ask u about the same.

MAO_Jan_Shatabdi~ 15644 blog postsThis train is the best train of KR.. Though a touch slower than other trains running on KR, but it connects Mumbai to the whole Konkan region upto Madgaon. The food and cleanliness of this train is excellent. Tourists too prefer this train. The train enjoys 100% occupancy in each season.
In every season except monsoon you will have to book your ticket as early as possible, to get a confirmed ticket.

Akshay Hariharan 527 blog postsBest food in terms of variety, quality and taste in Indian Railways. Those travelling by this train are spoilt for choice and the food is served in steal casseroles and proper cutlery in the AC Coaches.
I have heard this from multiple sources and all talk abt the quality and variety. Amazed that such good food is served for a 12 hours journey.
Travelled this weekend in this train. Did not taste food. But yes Pantry boys disturb you a lot. They dont allow you to sleep. At midnight they were selling dinner, coldrinks and other stuff and over and above it in Morning before 5:00 they started chai-chai...
