Yo, here's the deal. I had to go from BZA to YPR, but the route got diverted and now we're going through RU-KPD on 3-11-2023. Usually, I go from Guntur to BLR, then take the MAS-GT train and finally VB/Shatabdi to SBC. That's the route I prefer, avoiding Guntakal/DMM. But this time, when I was checking tickets on Friday, I noticed that Kondaveedu got diverted. It was only showing bookings from BZA and Tatkal tickets were available. So, I booked a ticket from BZA to YPR on Kondaveedu and took the GNT-SC intercity to BZA. The Kondaveedu Express (Train 17211) arrived in BZA at around 17:25 and left around 17:45, ahead of the delayed 12511 and BZA-GDR intercity. I was wondering if it got the clearance to run at 130 kmph, but turns out it's just cruising at 110 kmph. So, I realized that the 12511 and GDR intercity will overtake us. We skipped Tenali as expected and got looped at Appikatla to let the 12511 pass. Skipped Bapatla and Chirala, but by then the GDR intercity was right on our tail. Someone pulled the chain just after crossing Chirala, causing a 10-15 min delay. We got looped at Vetapalem to let the GDR intercity overtake us. I was expecting to skip OGL, but we ended up in Ongole on Platform 2. I was curious about which train was behind us and would overtake us. (Note that on this day, the HWH-YPR train was delayed by 2 hours). Then I heard the announcement for the Sabari Express. We got overtaken in Ongole and started again after a 30 min halt, trailing behind Sabari. Skipped OGL and halted in Gudur for 5-10 mins. It was around 23:30 and I fell asleep. I was expecting the same treatment from all the zones so that the train would arrive at YPR on schedule. But when I randomly woke up at 2:30 am, we were already in Jolarpettai. I was shocked. In JTJ, they made an announcement for Kondaveedu, but they pronounced it as some weird name instead of Machilipatnam. Finally, the train halted in KJM around 4:45 am. At that point, the HWH-YPR train was 70km behind Kondaveedu. Everyone was confused because they were expecting to get off at YPR. Eventually, when most of them realized, half of the train easily got down at KJM. Most people were still sleeping at that time. We reached BLR almost 5 hours ahead of schedule, even though we were only traveling at 110 kmph and had all those overtakes. Honestly, I think this train should terminate in KJM or some station before KJM. What do you guys think?
