Suppose I take a general class ticket from Mumbai to Ahmedabad and board a train which starts from Mumbai and terminates at Surat and then i take a different train that starts from Surat and terminates at Ahmedabad. Am i allowed to travel this way?

I guess it's possible.......if you have a general class unreserved ticket from Mumbai to Ahmedabad you may change trains at any of the intermediate stations....be sure only to board the Unreserved coaches while changing trains....
Yes correct the journey should be continued on the same day....

Correct rake position for 12936 is Loco- SLR- FC2-SLR-GEN1-GEN2- GEN3-GEN4- FC1- C1-C2- D1-D2-D3-D4-D5-D6-GEN5-GEN6-GEN7-GEN8-SLR Fc2 is attached as 2nd coach from loco instead of last... and it is last for 12935.. i daily travel in this train.. and always fc2 is attached as 2nd coach from locomotive in 12936 Even observe in this video also..

VRama Krishnan 131 blog postsEver since the starting of this train service from its inaugural run to till date, now almost 15 years were passed.why the frequency of this train is not increased ?Still it is running as weekly Express only.Where as if the same train was running between Kerala & Rajkot means, by this time, it would have been made as daily by increasing the frequency frequently in between at regular pace into biweekly, tri weekly & then to daily etc.It shows there must be some group behind that to prevent increasing the frequency of not only this train, but also all other trains originating from Tamil Nadu area.

Dear blogger.....many trains from Rakjot/Veraval/Saurashtra to kerala like 1633/16334, 16335/16336, 16337/16338 run as weekly trains till now...........and Rajkot Coimbatore shares its time slot with the Rajkot Secunderabad Express.....so increase in frequency has not happened till now.......its not because of regionalism or something else......ur living in a dreamy world.....
And also it shares time slot with 19567/19568 Vivek Express....just by writing to RM for state to increase frequency it will not happen.........if they increase the frequency then where will RJT SC and Vivek Express run..........just think logically...........
