Breakfast can be had in PF1 Canteen @ TVR . Freshly made Poori , Idly , Vadai are available...Dont worry if the train comes to PF3 , since it takes loco reversal , ample time is available to buy the breakfast . .

This tip is for 16779 ( TPTY - RMM ) .
Evening :
halts at Tiruvannamalai ( TNM ) for 30-40 min at PF1 . come out of the station , walk through the road for 100 meters and u have variety of options for tea / coffee / snacks / fruit items . dont depend on items sold on station . costly and hazardous to health . Normally arrives by 05.20pm and scheduled departure is by 05.55pm .

halts at Villupuram Junction ( VM ) for 20 - 30 min at PF2 . Loco Change happens here from electric to diesel . walk towards the engine and cross the tracks and u can reach the pondy main road . variety of hotels / mess available for ur budget . again dont depend on items sold on station . costly and hazardous to health . Normally arrives by 07.25pm and scheduled departure is by 07.55pm .

Though the TT is revised , 16853 MS-TPJ EXP has crossing with 16854 at SY or VDL , crossing with 12084 at MV , crossing with 16234 at KMU which takes arrival at TJ by 2.55pm - 3pm . so that's the case it reaches TPJ by 4 pm .
