A very surprising and unexpected offlink for Rajdhani Express! It was expected to come with the fancy number ED WDM-3D#11111 loco, but it came with AEB fitted Hubli EMD twins. These AEB fitted EMD twins who are active in the freight dominated Braganza ghats and Subramanya ghats. The train was running on time and was held up for a crossing with the 12620 Matsyagandha SF Express. After arrival of Matsyagandha (which has a scheduled halt at Barkur), the EMD twins took off in style and accelerated to a very good speed in matter of few seconds. Loud honking Diesel trains at Pune's busiest Level crossing | Beautiful track sounds
A set of videos captured in the evening of January 2014 at the two busiest level crossing gates situated at Ghorpadi, Pune division. One LC is situated on the Pune Miraj line and the other is situated on the Pune Daund line (Just half a kilometer apart). Ghorpadi happens to be in the heart of the city which also is close to the Pune military region. Even if the gate remains closed for few minutes for trains to cross by, it leads to traffic jam and utter chaos. Trains in the video are :

Unique single line crossing inside Tunnel :12051 Madgaon Jan Shatabdi Express!
Konkan Railway single line crossing at Ukshi Railway station with the ever aggressive Konkan Queen, Jan-Shatabdi Express rampaging past my stationary Kochuveli Porbandar Express. Our train was made to wait for nearly 20 minutes for this grand train, which gets high preference here on KR! Ukshi has to be one of those rare stations on KR where there is a tunnel in railway station limits itself...

A case of the different class of Alco locomotives from Kalyan DLS working in Mu'd pair powering the bi-weekly superfast to Mumbai. The two videos were captured on two consecutive mondays in last month. The first week it was with orange WDG-3A "Shakthi" twins and the next week it was powered by orange + blue WDM-3D twins. Enjoy the chugging show put by the ALCO twins.
