Varanasi aka Kashi is the biggest city of Purvanchal nd is a major centre of Art&Literature, Study , Tourism, and many more things ....its an important junction and revenue earner...loads of foreign passengers visit varanasi but wen it comes to connectivity its poor....other cities like Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad have xtra ordinary connectivity with National Capital New Delhi. Infact Lucknow, Kanpur, Allahabad and Varanasi these are the four pillar cities of Uttar Pradesh as well as to railways also...LKO, CNB, ALD....have trains like Duronto, Rajdhani and S/F trains...Varanasi(BSB) doesnt have a single Duronto ...Rajdhani is once a week and Shiv Ganga is the only good train which is fast and daily ....i was hopeful about BSB-NDLS Duronto ths year but some flop Durontos were announced.....ppl need more trains for new delhi...some trains which run via MIRZAPUR....can be diverted via MGS-BSB-ALD..via jhangai......a Duronto is highly needed as ppl as well as tourists also...

Varanasi junction is also full of thieves. I lost Rs 1 lakh and my passport here a couple of years back. Police told me about 10 cases like this happens there everyday. It is also a filthy station.

The distance between Salem Jn. and Bangalore City is only 218KM via Dharmapuri. I request the admin to change it from 278KM as mentioned in the site.
