If IR focuses on VB short sectors of 500km and build more expressways in UP, night traffic will shift to roads. 5 years ago, the train was the go-to option but now, with Agra, Yamuna, and Purvachal expressways, road travel is popular from Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakpur, and Eastern UP. With Prayag Merrut eway, cities will see bus services to Chandigarh and Haridwar in the future. IR needs to wake up and start new overnight trains on 500-800 km routes daily or lose out to road travel.

Agar IR sirf VB par dhyan lagaye short sectors mei 500km ke toh UP mein expressway network ke vikas ke saath raat ka traffic road sector mein jaayega. Paanch saal pehle train hi reliable travel option tha lekin Agra, Yamuna aur Purvachal expressway ke khulne ke baad road sector badh gaya hai Kanpur, Lucknow, Gorakpur aur eastern UP ke paas, jo New Delhi ke nazdeek hai raat ko. Prayag Merrut expressway ke saath UP ke shahar Chandigarh aur Haridwar tak raat bhar ki bus services dekhne ko milegi future mein. IR ko ab to apni aankhein kholni chahiye aur naye overnight trains introduce karni chahiye 500-800 km par daily basis par nahi to road sector har jayega.

13483/84 Farakka Express via Ayodhya can't seem to get their act right. For the past month, this train has been lagging behind by 7-10 hours. What's the deal with that? Maybe they need more than 7 rakes?

And don't get me started on 13413/14 Farakka Express via Sultanpur. It's already 2 hours late and the delay keeps getting worse every week. They both use the same 7 rakes, man.

Even today, this train got pushed back by 6 hours from Balurghat. It used to be on time between Malda and Old Delhi, but ever since they extended it, it's rubbing shoulders with the Top delayed Trains like South Bihar, Azad Hind, Howrah Mumbai Duronto, and whatnot.

How do you think they can sort out this mess and be on time for once?

Old poor man express carriages from Northern Railways will be used as a special summer train to Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, and Saharsa from Delhi. Cool move to repurpose those old carriages.
