is with extreme grief that I share with the railfanning community our senior dedicated IRI-ian from CBE, a distinguished SR ZRUCC member, honest, & helpful Shri Jayaraj (member ID 553344) passed away yesterday around 4 PM due to sudden cardiac arrest.
Shri Jayaraj has literally been the face of Coimbatore and has been sincerely fighting for improved rail & allied services in Coimbatore district. His untiring efforts contributed to the eventual construction of two elephant underpasses in the Madukkarai-Walayar stretch.

any idea which all where the stops for trivandrum rajadhani in southern railway, when it was not running via konkan ?
it was a weekly train and used to run via chennai, i guess upto chennai the stops were ERS,PGT,CBE,ED and SA, from MAS it followed the stoppage of MAS rajdhani

Where is Ramu kaka(SANDY SUDHA OIL COMMON PEEPUL BHOOKMARI) these days? Gone were the days years ago where he used to enlighten folks in the forum with his wisdom attained via selling apples in Himachal? Boy, IRI was different back then. I guess people will say the same in a few years about IRI today, coz evolution.
