So let them travel in this bus by introducing one along this route, this VB is kept stranded on platform no. 2 at MAO for 5 hours thus occupying the platform so it would be better to extend it till VSG after commissioning of VSG MJO electrification and fulfilling long pending demand of people from both regions.

Your justifications are baseless this VB cannot cover the entire stretch of 700 kms. on single track in 12 hours not to forget the crossings given for this premium train for letting an express proceed. Also Mangalore Mumbai buses don't exist on this route it either originates/terminates from/to Goa in both directions. Please know the facts before trying to befool the members of this forum.

Thanks for the correction but I don't think the public will opt for this VB if its extended till CSMT by breaking their backs for 12 hours. The best option is to extend this VB upo VSG post commissioning the electrified VSG MJO route until then it can continue standing idle on platform no. 2 at MAO for 5 hours.

Absolutely correct people will always prefer sleeper train compared to chair cars for longer distances of 890 kms. as till date no semi sleeper buses originate from Mangalore to Mumbai via Goa so if sleeper VBs are introduced in future then it shall be given on CSMT MAQ sector without fail.

These buses don't follow the route which we are debating here please be aware the VBs are on CSMT MAO MAQ route. Losing dedicated CSMT MAO VB is not my concern but the fact such demands are raised by MPs without any verification as to why CC VBs were introduced on short sectors throughout the country.

Don't divert the members of this forum from the topic and stick to the figures concerned with this route. No use comparing all India statistics which is not at all related to the forum. CR does not require to extend the MAO VB to MAQ for an empty run as it is running in full occupancy along with MAO Jan Shatabdi & Tejas. it will not be surprising to revoke the MAQ VB if it cannot perform and introduce it as 2nd VB on MAO CSMT route sharing same time slots as MAO VB.

CSMT MAO VB is running in full capacity and people who are not at all related to this place or travelled by this train frequently are yapping to gain cheap popularity. People will fight tooth and nail if this VB is touched. MAQ MAO VB is a total failure in terms of occupancy so better is to revoke it and utilize on any profit making sector. Extending to CSMT is not going to revolutionise it without sleeper version else it will also meet the same fate which the MP does not realise.

Few years ago SWR has proposed for Falwado link which would have connected SWR to KR through Falwado village in Goa which was opposed by Goans of that region so it was scrapped.
