Koraput JN is one of the most scenic railway stations I have ever seen, but unfortunately it lacks amenities. During my journey from Araku to Jagdalpur, I found some nice sambhar vadas here, otherwise I had to eat bananas and groundnuts during lunch.

Yes I have travelled only till JDB. So I havent seen Bacheli station. There was an insurgence near Dantewada three days before we reached there. So while going from station to Chitrakote falls, our car was thoroughly checked multiple times. I have travelled through various tourist places falling under the Red corridor, but this one was adventurous.
I also vividly remember the hot idli and spicy coconut chutney I had under a peepal tree just outside the station, from a local vendor. The taste still lingers in my mouth.

Keeping all these problems aside, Bastar is still one of the most beautiful places to visit.
Another reason for not laying a direct track via Gadchiroli may be the population density. All the stations (except bigger ones like Jeypore Odisha and Korpaut) are deserted even in the morning hours. So may not be a profitable option to lay a track between this route.

Is there any pitline facilities on either of the two stations? I don't think extension would be a good idea.
