Disagree:Kalyan doesn't work good for this.
Junction point connecting itself to Pune, Goa/Konkan, Gujarat and Nasik/Shirdi trains. Passenger wanting to go Pune/Nasik/Goa via Mumbai can deboard here and take a train for the same.

The tip itself is misleading. Otherwise a junction anyways is used for changing trains. But making a blanket statement that you can make all types of transfers at kalyan as you mentioned is grossly incorrect and misleading. By reading this tip some people may make incorrect travel plans. We need to make sure that we guide people properly. We need to present information in a way that that people can trust that and make their travel arrangements accordingly.

Look keep ur thoughts with urself...
Break journey at kalyan is beneficial. ... simply becoz trains stop here... so instead of travelling extra distance to cst this can be done. U gave ur red signal n once u reasoned it out too despite I didn't ask for for anyone's or precisely urs view.
And its not named junction simply u r contradicting from the fact tht its a junction

Considering the number of trains available from Kalyan, lets try to analyze how many good interchanges are available for the following journeys:
(1) Surat to Madgaon : none (except for 1 Patna Vasco exp once a week). There are plenty connections available from BDTS/DR/BCT/CSTM/LTT
(2) Surat to Pune : none. Plenty available through BDTS/DR/BCT/CSTM/LTT
(3) Surat to Nasik : Yes
(4)

Nasik to Madgaon : none. Plenty available from Thane/LTT/ DR
(5) Nasik to Pune : YES
(6) Nasik to Surat : YES
(7) Pune to Madgaon : none. better take a bus to Panvel and take trains
(8) Pune to Surat : none. Plenty available from BDTS/DR/BCT/CSTM/LTT
(9) Pune to Nasik : YES
(10) Madgaon to Surat : none. Plenty available from BDTS/DR/BCT/CSTM/LTT
(11) Madgaon to Nasik : none. Plenty available from Thane/LTT/ DR
(12) Madgaon to Pune : none. Better get down at Panvel and take bus.

So finally Kalyan works in only 4 out of 12 cases. For rest all cases, it does not work well. There are other stations in Mumbai which have hundreds of combinations of trains that can be taken at multiple different timings, but Kalyan can work as interchange station only for NASIK to PUNE/SURAT and return, not otherwise.

Also regarding your statement : "U gave ur red signal n once u reasoned it out too despite I didn't ask for for anyone's or precisely urs view" - we are here to rate the tips, irrespective of whether author asks or does not ask.

I want to revise my statement:
Instead of "Kalyan works in only 4 out of 12 cases", read revised statement as "Kalyan works well in only 2 out of 12 cases (Pune to Nasik and back) and works with very limited connections for 2 more cases (Surat to Nasik and back)."

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
