The following changes are being introduced to keep the PNR Forum functioning.
.
1. A "bookmarklet" called "PNR Refresh" has been created. Just Copy/Paste a small piece of text into your browser bookmarks. The bookmarklet will be available by morning.
.
2....
more... When you click on Post/Update/Refresh PNR, you will be taken to the Official page with the PNR field filled in.
.
3. Enter the captcha to get to the PNR Status page on the Official Site.
.
4. Just click on the "PNR Refresh" bookmark to post the PNR Status directly to IRI. When you click on the "PNR Refresh" bookmarklet in the Official PNR Results page, your info will be posted to IRI, and you will be taken to the PNR Entry in IRI.
.
This procedure, although extremely cumbersome, will allow the PNR Forum to keep operating. Sorry for the hardship. We are left with no other choice.
.
The following policy changes are being implemented in keeping with the above.
.
1. ALL PNR Numbers and ALL details will be visible to ALL members.
2. All PNRs posted in IRI will remain anonymized like before, i.e., you will NOT be able to tell which PNR belongs to which member. In other words, all PNR info will be visible, but PNR Privacy will be maintained.
.
ALL members/guests will be able Post/Refresh PNRs using the above procedure. The "PNR Refresh" bookmark will be available by morning.
.
In the long-term, we wish to continue nurturing the great rail community and friendships we have. Towards this goal, more and more info will be sourced DIRECTLY from members. Indeed, our members have far more information than the official sources.
.
Also, the site will move and diversify into other avenues and interests. We are all RailFans, no doubt. But we are ALSO well-rounded individuals with many OTHER interests. The site/apps will move to further develop other intellectual interests and pursuits of our members as well.
.
Thanks to all members for their vote of confidence in the site. So long as our community is interested and enthusiastic, we shall work hard to nurture and grow it. The New Year started with a very RUDE and cold-hearted awakening, but we shall endeavour to make something good out of it.
