Better late than never. This was pending from long time. Quite Logical.
Seats should be given as per fare not as per Age.(barring Sr. Ctzn and other special quotas)
If a child is occupying a complete seat then the charge should also be taken as per occupancy.
I myself have 3+ yr old son, and i don't mind this new rule at all.

i am totally against giving subsidy to senior citizens.
a senior citizen earning 1 lakh per month is given subsidy whereas a teenager ( earning no money , going some other city to give exam ) has to pay full fare... rubbish....

Absolutely agree, the criteria for discount should be given on economic grounds rather than age specific. What is the need of discount for a 60+ Businessman? But then there is no way now to identify economic grounds.
Everything should be based on income basis..
