A small RF trip report:-
After a busy schedule of project works. Got a vacation and decided to go home. At 16:10 I reached Mangalore central station from moodbidre. There was two options for me to travel till Kannur. Either newly LHBfied 12686 MAQ-MAS SF at 16:20 or 16687 MAQ-SVDK Navyug at 16:50. Decided to take 16687 and purchased a UR ticket. When I entered to the platform MAQ-CAN Passenger was standing in platform #1. Remaining two platforms was empty. At 16:30 Navyug was shunted to platform number #2 and I ran to the SLRD just after the loco. ERS WDM-3A #16565 Was in charge. No GS was present in front part of the train. Some how I managed to get the

emergency exit window seat for RF purpose :P.
KJM WDG-4 twins 12637+70179was resting in Bay platform with MAQ-KBHR passenger. ED WDP-4D #40241 Was coupled with 16630 MAQ-TVC Malabar express in Yard. ERS WDM-2 #16860 was shunting the 16605 MAQ-TVC Maveli express to Platform #3 and GOC WDP-4D #40115 was taking nap at near the track at bay platform. At 16:50 CAN passenger was departed from platform number with a 15mins of delay. And I was sad bcoz 16:50 was the departure time of my train. After 10mins at sharp 17:00 ERS WDM-3A blows it horn loudly and departed from Mangalore central. But Before netravadhi cabin Nagyug detained for 5mins. And again at 17:13 started its long journey to SVDK. We crossed netravdhi bridge in moderator speed And ERS WDM-3A #14055 hauled 16605 NCJ-MAQ Ernad express was waiting for us to cross. As soon as possible train picked up good speed and we overtook CAN passenger and Crossed YPR-MAQ weekly express at Ullal. Then it was a rampage. Constantly did 100-105Kmph. At kumbala train slowed down to 40-50kmph to clear the TSR at bridge. And again picked up a good speed and arrived Kasaragod at 17:46 with a delay of 25mins, crossed ED WDP-4D #40171 hauled CBE-MAQ FP at KGQ itself. Departed from Kasaragod at 17:48 after 2mins of halt. Next halt was Kannur 85kms from Kasargod. And I cant explain its run between KGQ and CAN. The real destructive run. Crossed ED WDM-3D hauled 16518 CAN-SBC express At Kalnad halt.
At Kottikulam Crossed ED WDM-3D #11218 hauled tiny BCNA consist. Till Chandera halt train was in MPS. There was a 75kmph TSR present at Chandera. Rapidly pulled up the speed to 100kmph and skipped Thrikkaripur, payyanur stations. At pazhayangadi crossed GOC Twins #16879+16297 hauled Mangalore bound parasuram express. Crossed pretty long Valapattanam bridge in mps. ED WDG-3A twins 14779+14663 was at Valapattanam station with BCNA. At sharp 18:37 train crossed Kannur home signal then slowed Down. At 18:39 16687 made to halt at Kannur with 6mins ahead of its schedule.
I was really happy and walked near to the loco. ALP detrain and went to fuelling point. I just smiled on him and he was looking at me in a strange manner like "who is this fella??" ;),:p.
From KGQ to CAN it took 51mins for 85kms, with avg of 100kmph <3. Hail to LP/ALP/controllers and my beloved ERS <3.

Wow wow wow!!!! From where did you get all these details? If for a single loco, so much details are there, your dairy must be like a pillow. Some serious RF. Salute sir.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
